Aquatic Centre: the Châtelaillon swimming pool outing!

Gosh, the tide’s out this morning… The whole gang wanted to take a dip in the sunshine! Why not try the Aquatic Centre? The tourist office tells us that there are slides, lots of games and even a wellness area for adults. Sounds great! So we grab our swimming costumes and towels and head off to enjoy the pool at Châtelaillon.

Activities for all the family

In just a few minutes, there’s something for everyone at the Centre Aquatique. Fun, relaxation or exercise, you can do it all in one day at the Châtelaillon swimming pool. Or even do nothing at all and just lounge by the pool… Just like me!

I choose the solarium and settle down comfortably on my deckchair. Opposite me, the children are dashing around the water play area, “splashing” and “wahooing” to the rhythm of the various activities. While the duck and its jet make them laugh a lot, it’s the giant bucket of water that they prefer. We wait underneath for it to fill up… and splash! It’s so refreshing! What fun in this heat!

      For the two big outdoor slides, it’s Daddy who accompanies the little ones. Especially the 11m slide, which is really impressive. A pool trip to Châtelaillon full of thrills.

          Zen interlude

            After sunbathing, I take a zen break in the Aquatic Centre’s wellness area. The little wolves splash around with Daddy, and I can relax in the sauna and hammam. The effects are immediate! Enveloped in gentle warmth, the whole body gradually relaxes.

            I’d like to finish off with a wonderful discovery: the multi-sensory shower! Using light, colour and sound, the shower becomes a real moment of escape. Tropical atmosphere or Breton drizzle, the senses travel…

            Food truck: the real taste of holidays!

            Swimming pool, hammam or aquabike: it’s midday and everyone’s hungry!

            So we sit down quietly on one of the picnic tables in the shade and go and get something to eat from the food truck. It’s inside the Aquatic Centre, so there’s no need to go outside!

            Today it’s hot dogs for everyone. The kids couldn’t be happier. The whole tribe finished off their swimming trip with a well-deserved siesta under the pine trees in Châtelaillon.
