How do I get to the Centre Aquatique de Châtelaillon?

Located near the marina, the Centre Aquatique is accessible by bus on line 20.You can also get there by bike in less than 10 minutes from the town centre. By car? Head for La Rochelle on the RN 137. Take the Châtelaillon-Plage exit, then follow the arrows to “Centre Aquatique”.

The Aquatic Centre in winter: well-being and softness indoors!

Do you need another reason to visit Châtelaillon at the end of the year? Imagine yourself in the middle of winter, sheltered under a covered pool, in water at 29°. The warmth gradually creeps up on you as you immerse yourself in one of the pools. It’s surprisingly mild compared with the temperatures outside! Take a dip in the 25m2 pool before continuing with an invigorating aquagym class.

What about the kids? They can splash around in their own pool under the watchful eye of the lifeguards. Safety is a year-round priority at the 29° Aquatic Centre!

On site, a second pool awaits the little ones. Here mums can gently work on the motor skills of their little ones from 3 to 6 months. Baby swimmers grow up! At their disposal is a 250 m2 pool lined with playful creatures. With maximum comfort and safety, you’ll feel like a fish in water. Oh, a dragon!

The tourist office can advise you…

Wellness and Zen evenings organised by the Aquatic Centre, every last Friday of the month. Group sessions of sophrology, massage, shiatsu or progressive relaxation are on offer, to delight your senses. All the practitioners present are qualified professionals.

Prices:

Individuals: €14 / 20-minute treatment
Group: €5 / 45-minute session at 7.15pm and 8.15pm

Not sure where to start? Here are our top 3 favourite activities for enjoying the Centre Aquatique de Châtelaillon in winter. Tried and tested!

1 – The giant slide! Slide down a 110 m long dark tunnel lit up with coloured lights. It’s a thrill to behold. Note from the Tourist Office: this attraction is not recommended for children who are claustrophobic or sensitive to small spaces.

2 – The Jacuzzi! For a relaxing break

3- The wellness area, with its sauna, hammam, multi-sensory shower and relaxation room.

Outdoor aquatic centre: fun activities and picnic!

Summer means a desire for fresh air! When the weather’s fine, the Châtelaillon aquatic centre opens its 3 outdoor pools and welcomes you to its verdant setting. The programme includes lounging in the shade of the large green spaces, picnics under the colourful sails of the landscaped areas and ice cream cones full to bursting. * Hurry before it sinks!

Everyone cools off in the early afternoon. The children have the time of their lives in the paddling pool and explore the large play area dedicated to them. With its 200m2, this fun and interactive area promises some great splashes!

When can we slide?

Slide addicts will be in for a real adrenalin rush with two great slides to choose from. At 30 m or 11 m high, the choice is yours.
