Art Tour, a local beehive buzzing with ideas

It all started with a great idea: André Bénéteau’s idea to mark the hamlets and villages in his commune with sculptures. The Mayor of Yves approved, André was delighted and the ARTOUR association was born. Get out your mallets!

The public were so intrigued by the sculptures that the association produced a booklet detailing their motifs and symbols. And what better way to discover local history than with a treasure hunt?

Written by Bernard Demay, a great enthusiast, the booklet offers keys to exploring and better understanding the shores and marshes.

While the association’s works are contemporary, the tools have remained traditional: Portuguese sledgehammers, chisels and riffles. Good news
