Every year, on the last weekend in June, Châtelaillon-Plage celebrates. More than 1,000 Châtelaillon residents come together for a wild show.

In 2025, the neighbourhoods have united around the theme: Carnival!

The 2025 themes for the 7 districts

? Boucholeurs – Carnival of colours
A giant magician awakens a world of black and white… and unleashes a whirlwind of red, green, blue and joy!

? Casino – Carnival of the marine world
Head for the depths! Prankster sardines, giant seahorses and a sunken castle… welcome to a magical underwater world.

Dunes – El Día de los Muertos
Caterina, Luiz and the spirits take you to a vibrant Mexican carnival of flowers, music and memories.

Hippodrome – Carnival of Toys
Dolls march, pawns dance and Polichinelle leads the way: a magical carnival straight out of a child’s bedroom!

Orbigny – New Orleans Carnival
Jazz, feathers and crazy costumes… Louisiana comes to Châtel in a whirlwind of good humour and colour.

Port – Santiago de Cuba Carnival
Tropical atmosphere guaranteed! Congas, maracas and Latin rhythms transform the harbour into a Caribbean dance floor.

Stadium – Oruro Carnival
Andean dancers, llamas and the spirits of the Pachamama: Bolivia takes to the streets of Châtel for a mystical and joyous carnival.

? Grains de Sable & La Ruche – Rio Carnival
Little parrots, samba and colourful feathers: a Brazilian carnival worthy of the film Rio for children… and grown-ups!
