For an afterwork at the top: the Grande Terrasse
Head for the avenue de la falaise to enjoy the highest point in châtelaillonnais!
At the end of the day, the Grande Terrasse is one of the most beautiful spots, known for its magical sunsets. In summer, we love to take part in the afterworks: sip a chilled cocktail while watching the last rays of the sun disappear into the ocean…
It’s a real treat, but you have to earn it, as places are very limited!
To end the day on a high: the little Boucholeurs beach
With its oyster huts, the Boucholeurs district of Châtelaillon-Plage is one of those places you never tire of admiring.
After spending the afternoon in the village, we headed off at the end of the day to the Plage des Boucholeurs, a must-see spot in Châtelaillon for admiring the scenery! As soon as dusk begins to fall, we sit down on the rocks of the little beach to watch an almost unreal sunset.
Before the light fades completely, you can make out the Ile d’Aix and the Ile de Fouras on the horizon… And at low tide, you can even make out the oyster beds, of which there are many near the Plage des Boucholeurs…

Admiring the sunset is a great activity to share with the whole family! After the games and excitement of the day, taking the time to relax and enjoy the scenery is the best way to start the evening gently.
