We fell under the spell of Châtelaillon during our first summer with the kids! With its gentle seaside setting and distinctive architecture, the town has a charm that makes it unique. Not to mention the friendliness of the Charente!
After all these years, it’s still a pleasure to stroll through its peaceful streets. You can stroll between the (seemingly!) small, one-storey and two-storey houses, admiring their characteristic pointed roofs and vibrant colours.

Location ChatelaillonA fully-equipped kitchen opening onto the living room, two bedrooms and a large terrace: it’s our little piece of paradise every year. Even if the kids are more interested in the barbecue than the interior decoration!
The beach next to our house is so great! You can go swimming whenever you like. And if you’ve forgotten something, like your snowshoes or your snack, it’s no big deal.

As soon as we arrive at our holiday rental in Châtelaillon, we put our suitcases down and go out to play with the kids in the garden. Sun, garden and children having fun, the holidays can begin! Paris and its grey skies seem a long way away as you stretch out comfortably on the deckchairs on the terrace…

You can chat to the locals, meet the local producers and sample the delicacies of the Charente. Goat’s cheese, oysters and sausages for the barbecue, your mouth is already watering. Not to mention the smell of sweet melon wafting from the basket… Quick, let’s eat!

Fete Foraine ConteursBack to our rental, where everything has been designed with holidays in mind. There’s even a door at the end of the garden so you can come in after the beach. The children take a shower, the parents prepare the aperitif and everyone gathers on the terrace. Tonight, it’s a funfair!
