Just 17 km north of Châtelaillon, La Rochelle is a great way to discover the region without going too far afield. Allow 20 minutes by car or opt for a bike ride! It’s the perfect way to stroll at your own pace and discover the local nuggets: the pretty port of Loiron, the delicious Moule Shop in Aytré or the lighthouse at the end of the world at the entrance to La Rochelle. A pleasant way to travel – you’re by the sea the whole way – practical and fun, the train is also a great idea for families in summer.
