Ice cream parlour or crêperie? In Châtelaillon, food lovers don't have to choose!

It’s snack time in Châtelaillon! After a dip in the Atlantic Ocean and a stroll along the beach, you’ve earned a moment of indulgence.
And we’re sure that the sweet smells coming from the seafront will whet your appetite even more! If you’ve got a sweet tooth or a ravenous appetite, we’ve got the addresses of the best ice-cream parlours and crêperies in Châtelaillon for you!

We're going for the glaciers!

When you get out of the water, those with a sweet tooth are sure to spot the colourful façade of Ô Sorbet d’Amour ice cream parlour, located near the Châtelaillon casino. The owner is none other than Renaud Gourdon, a former professional rugby player and trainer, who switched from the oval ball to scoops of ice cream when he opened his shop facing the ocean. Since then, he has been delighting locals and visitors alike with his delicious sorbets and home-made ice creams.

In Chatelaillon, Benjamin is the man behind the counter. But in rugby as in Sorbet d’Amour, it’s all about teamwork! We can always count on Benjamin to help us taste the new products concocted in the traditional way, on the premises in La Teste de Buch.

Just a few metres away, the Glacier des Dunes is also the ideal place for a tasty and refreshing moment! In this pretty house with a green shop front, enjoy the exceptional ice creams and sorbets of the renowned master ice-cream maker “ERNEST Le Glacier”.

Roasted pistachio, caramel, lemon meringue, gazelle horn, blood orange-bergamot, apricot-pavot-nougatine or even Bordeaux cannelés, from the most traditional to the most original flavours, it’s hard to choose!

Glacier des Dunes desserts are to be enjoyed without moderation!

We’d rather do nothing than offer industrial ice cream!

Which flavour to choose at Glacier des Dunes?

“Without hesitation, the caramel ice cream! With its subtle flavour and fleur de sel from the Île de Ré, it’s our 100% Châtelaillonnais pleasure. It’s also a nod to Laurence’s Breton roots.”

We've got a crush on the crêperies in Châtelaillon!

A veritable institution on Châtelaillon Plage, the Bains des Fleurs has been a meeting place for convivial moments since 1921! A few decades later, in 1975, the establishment, which had become a favourite meeting place for bathers and holidaymakers, was transformed into one of the first crêperies in Châtelaillon.

Proof that the reputation of the Bains des Fleurs crêpes has stood the test of time, people still flock there today to enjoy their excellent pancakes overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Savoury or sweet, buckwheat or wheat, eating a crêpe at the Bains des Fleurs is a must when you’re in Châtelaillon!

A little corner of Brittany is hidden between the beautiful villas of Châtelaillon! From the beach, head back towards the centre and visit the Ty Breizh crêperie for real Breton galettes. After a swim in the sea, a walk on the sand or just to enjoy the mild Châtelaillon evenings, there’s always a good reason to meet up at the Ty Breizh!
