Spring terraces: our 4 favourites

Everyone outside! Spring has sprung in Châtelaillon. There are two sure signs: the return of the swallows and the opening of the terraces. The latter mark the arrival of fine weather and sunny pleasures. Barefoot on the sand, having a coffee overlooking the sea, putting on your straw hat and leafing through a magazine: any excuse is a good one to make the most of the first rays. Which terrace should you choose? Discover our favourites!

# 1

For a café with a view

Comptoir de l'Océan

As for the cuisine, Comptoir de l’Océan takes us by the scruff of the neck with its homemade, deliciously iodised dishes. Oysters, langoustines and Irish blue lobsters travel from the South West to Thailand to delight your taste buds.

As for the dining room, settle into the chic, lounge atmosphere of the bar-restaurant, and let yourself be enveloped by the well-chosen music.

Pssst: Nina, the owner, is a renowned DJ. That explains it!

On the seafront, a beautiful, wide wooden terrace welcomes you. In the shade or one-on-one with the sun, laze around with your coffee after your meal and enjoy the springtime.

For a gentle afternoon

Les Bains des Fleurs

Pssst, the Bains des Fleurs terrace is getting a makeover! You can now enjoy it with your feet in the sand, lulled by the lapping of the waves. It’s just a short step from shortbread to sand pâté! You can sit down with your grown-ups and enjoy your lunch while keeping an eye on the little wolves…

More of a pancake? The hardest part will be choosing between the chocolate Ringo and the lemon Nénette! More of an ice cream? You’ll be spoilt for choice. And if your little kings get chilly, Marie will lend them a blanket. So much fun!

N°3

Putting friends first

Le Bistrot du Port

You’ll soon be calling him Vanvan! At the helm of the Bistrot du Port, Yvan has turned his terrace into the HQ for châtelaillonnais friends. We meet up in the early evening to toast with our feet in the sand and share the pleasure of being together. Between two beers and a fried mussel, you can catch up on old times and relax facing the ocean, lulled by the breeze. A great way to start the season!
