Les Bains des Fleurs takes you back to childhood!

Our Sunday ritual? Get the whole family together in Châtelaillon and sit down at the crêperie of my childhood: the Bain des Fleurs! Traditionally, we all drive down from La Rochelle before settling down in our usual spot, facing the sea. It’s a gourmet get-together that brings back fond memories, and creates new ones!

From sea bathing to pancakes: a story with a twist!

The fine weather is back in the resort! For once, my parents joined us for our Sunday lunch in the sunshine of châtelaillonnais. We stopped for a moment in front of the blue façade of the Bains des Fleurs, a nod to the mildness of the seaside.

This is where they used to take me when I was little. So many memories!

And here are Jérôme and Marie, the owners of the place. They’re almost friends now. They welcome us like royalty and seat us as usual on the terrace, facing the sea. We really appreciate the attention!

While we sit down, Jérôme chats to the former owners of the Bains des Fleurs, Mr and Mrs Verdier.

We're diving into the deep end!

What are we having today? For me it’s a marissa and for Monsieur a nordic. Mum and Dad are sticking to the gourmet menu, while the little ones are taking the children’s menu.

A well-kept secret

These buckwheat pancakes were delicious. There was no need to ask who wanted dessert: everyone! We unanimously opted for THE classic of the house, the indestructible salted butter caramel crêpe.

We tried to get the recipe, but it was impossible. Once served, it was a concert of “miam!” and “humm…”.
