    The TER Nouvelle-Aquitaine line links La Rochelle to Châtelaillon-Plage very easily.

  • What car parks are available in the town centre?

    Parking Jean Moulin – Located in the town centre, opposite the Post Office. Convenient for access to shops, the town centre or the seafront.

    Parking Doumer – Free, behind the Châtelaillon-Plage train station (Rue Paul Doumer). Useful if you’re arriving by train or to park your car before going out on foot.

    Car parks at the entrance to the town or on the outskirts: There are free car parks or parking areas on the outskirts or at the entrance to the town (Hippodrome car park, “village des Boucholeurs”, etc.), which can be useful if the spaces in the town centre are full.

  • Do I have to pay to park?
    • In the town centre, the Boulevard de la Libération is a blue zone: parking is limited to 2 hours with a parking disc.
    • In summer, certain areas near the seafront and beach become pay zones. Remember to check the signs if you want to park as close to the coast as possible.
    • The car parks at the entrance to the town are free all year round, a good way to avoid the crowds in the centre and get to the heart of the resort on foot or by bike.
  • Where can I park my bike in town and near the beach?

    There is a cycle-park at Châtelaillon-Plage station, which is also accessible and suitable for people with reduced mobility.

    The SNCF station is less than 10 minutes’ walk from the beach, making access to the town centre and seafront particularly easy. The journey is flat and easy, crossing the green park of Châtelaillon-Plage.
