And crack on his cornetIt’s the moment that young and old alike have been waiting for (except they don’t dare say it): the afternoon ice cream! A stone’s throw from the beach, we embark on an intense window-shopping session to choose our flavours. 20 minutes later, we finally chose… the same ones as last year!
Sitting in front of the ocean, the children nibble on their little holiday treasure, while the parents savour their Proust’s madeleine. A tribe of gourmets under a beautiful spring sun: that’s what the Châtelaillon programme is all about!

A toast to good times
And enjoy the pleasure of being togetherBeing together is what we’re all about! There’s no such thing as a base camp without a good bunch of friends and some tasty treats. And for that, there’s nothing better than a spot on the terrace. Sunglasses, straw hats and tapas for the aperitif: we’re ready to order what’s next!

Setting sail for the Ile de Ré
And fill up on sea sprayWhether you’re a freshwater sailor or an old sea dog, a trip to the sea is a must for off-season holidays. We’re leaving our base camp (temporarily) and heading for the white island of Ré. It’s the children’s first boat trip, and we can tell they’re enjoying it!
While the journey is an experience in itself, the island has plenty of surprises in store, from vineyards to surfing and iodine tasting.
